It's the second parts list! Thanks for everyone's involvement last week and hope to hear from you all again on this one.
Prototype
- Cone of flexible plastic
- Two approx 0.5m lengths of spring steel or mechanically similar
- 1.5m plastic tubing, weighted at one end
- Sealant
- An actuator mechanism (possibly shape memory alloy) or a piece of fishing wire.
Design + Test
- A human being
- 5-13 litres of water
- Any convenient location
This isn't as complete a design as last week's. Some more testing is needed, and this parts list may change without notice (well, maybe a twitter), but the basics are there.
