Not as much on the prototyping side achieved today as I'd like. Many excuses, but rebuilding the website a million times is part of the problem. Perhaps I should have planned it or something.
However, a few of my friends did manage to fight through the thicket of features being removed, updated, data being lost, etc. The weird thing, they all turned out to be called Dave.

The rest of my life
The combination knock idea (linked above) was delivered by Dave over an unexpectedly humorous calzone from Ask in Ipswich.
For the next 48 hours I'll be hacking out of a log cabin, chalet-style thing at a friend's house in Suffolk.
Then I'll be on the road again proper, travelling through Rapid Electronics to get the bits for coming weeks' projects and taking the tube from Upminster into the new? Tinker.it offices on Friday afternoon to talk about some work we have coming up.
I hope to have a functioning circuit by then. If so, I'll try to finish off the Arduino software and test it on the way. Any complicated questions which emerge, I'll be in the right place to ask!
The countdown question
I wonder what Transport for London will make of a bearded man travelling with home made circuits, wires sticking out and a big LED counter on? I suppose they won't have long to worry - a single digit can only count down from 9, as Dave pointed out, but I think I have trick up my sleeve to get around that and give me at least 20 on the display.
The maximum I would ever need in principle, at least for the market I'm aiming at, is around 40, so there might have to be a premium version. I think it's so rare that anyone would need more than 20 that I'm sticking with that for now.
